Capable
of triple-digit speeds, sure-footed maneuverability
and exceptional handling, the Spectre 30 has gained
a following among powerboat enthusiasts.
Design Philosophy
The Spectre 30 is a solidly built speed machine. Small
enough to trailer and drive on inland lakes and rivers
and large enough to go offshore, it is one of the most
versatile catamarans on the market, and is sure to turn
heads. The 30 was the model of choice for the Lake X
Boat, a team project between Mercury Marine and Spectre.

The 30 can be rigged with
stern drives or in a dual or triple outboard configuration.
Built to race, the 30 has a reputation as a top performer,
winning national championships in Pro-Stock and Stock
classes the year it was introduced, and going on to
win the Stock World Championship.
The hull design features two-stepped
sponsons, and the running surfaces are fitted with two
lifting strakes up front and one aft.
State-of the Art
Construction and Materials
You will immediately notice the attention to detail
and quality of the construction, fit and finish of the
30’. We insist on quality in every detail in every
boat we build, and the 30’ is no exception.
The 30’ is constructed using
bi-axial and tri-axial fiberglass, with high-tech vinylester
resin and composite Airlite core. The vacuum bagging
process ensures that the hull is light-weight without
compromising strength and durability. Kevlar reinforcements
are employed at critical locations throughout, providing
long-term integrity in even the most punishing race
conditions.
Race-Ready Rigging
and Hardware
From its Accon pop-up cleats, clean through-bolted aluminum
rubrail, and flush mounted fuel fills and vents, all
hardware has been carefully appointed for optimal performance
while carefully integrating into the overall visual
appeal of the 30.
All wiring is neatly race-mounted,
with stainless cushion clamps and shrink sealed. From
its aircraft-grade stainless steel hardware and powder
coated railing, quality is apparent throughout. All
attached hardware is through-bolted, using sturdy backing
plates or embedded mounting plates in the hull and deck,
to provide a solid connection point and to ensure long-term
performance.
Performance
The 30 is quick to plane, and a comfortable ride in
offshore conditions.
With its high-performance, light
weight construction and efficient hull design, you not
only benefit from quick acceleration, but also get a
lot of range out of the 30 compared to its heavier counterparts.
With fuel capacity of 134 gallons from dual aluminum
fuel tanks, you will have adequate capacity for offshore
cruising.
All Spectre boats are water tested
on fresh water Lake Tarpon, and fine-tuned for optimal
performance before they are prepared for delivery.
Features
The Spectre 30 features oversized, high-back racing
bucket seats with carbon fiber backs and extreme-density
foam to provide superior head, neck and back support
up front as well as for passengers in back. Grab handles
make welcome additions for passengers at triple-digit
speeds.
The interior fiberglass cockpit
liner is textured with a male non-skid surface pattern,
and can be fitted with snap-in marine grade carpet for
superior comfort.
Top of the line throttle and tunnel
tab controls, hydraulic steering, and well positioned
over-sized Gaffrig gauges add to the comfort and superior
driving experience of the 30.
